Zoo fun with Ellie

 I don't take her all the time so when we get to go to the zoo it's a huge treat for her.  Since we went by ourselves I let her be our guide.  She could stay as long or short at everywhere she wnated to be.

 We started out in the farm area that was probably her favorite part.  She loved rubbing the goats down and milking the fake cow. 

 Not to mention who wouldn't love a playground that looks like the fun little people toys she plays with at home.

 She liked to "be a monkey" while we were by the monkeys. 

 She absolutely loved that I got her a carosel ticket which I never do.    She was so happy to ride on her cheetah.

 She thought it was super funny to hug the "dragon" and scare me that it would get her.

 Mostly, she was super happy to see the animals and smile and pose pictures for me.

 She loved that the momma orangutang spread pink chalk on her lips and it looked like lipstick.  She also loved to learn all the differences between monkeys and apes. 

 We missed the cheetah the first time around so we looped back to see it.  It was worth the walk for her.  Especially since she didn't get to see the bears as they just had a new baby and it was hiding while they bonded. 

 But one of her favorite things was the store.  She spent over a half hour just walking around the store looking at all the fun things. 

 As we were waiting for our ride home we came across some friends who had some extra tickets for the train and the sting rays.  She was not so sure about the sting rays. 

 But eventually she actually touched one.  It was such a brave moment for her and a proud moment for her mom!

 She said the felt goey and smily.  I wouldn't disagree with her.

 As we were finishing up there another friend handed us an extra ticket to the carosel they weren't going to use.  So we got one more extra ride before we left.

 To say she was one happy girl was a huge understatement!  She loved a day just her and I about doing things she wanted to do.
