having issues

Spent the day today get son checked out.  Broken clavical, concussion, soccer season cut short and BYU sweatshirt cut in half to get it off him.  Yep, pretty much his worst day ever!  He is doing better.  They don't have to do surgery, no butterfly splint, and concussion is gone.  Just 6 weeks of this brace thing while sleeping in a recliner followed by 3 months of no contact sports.  That is the part that has him down.  Scouts was going snow boarding in February.  He refs which requires running and lifting his right arm so no money making, soccer season cut short and won't get to go out for the volleyball team.  Yep pretty much a huge disappointment to my active kid.  But he is incredible and is taking it all in stride.  Writing is difficult along with getting dressed.  But he only missed one and a half days of school and is not being depressed or whiny about it all.  It really makes me proud of the kid he is.  He even wanted to go to the scout activity last night even though they went to play raquetball.  He enjoyed just being out of the house and with his friends even if he couldn't play.

Rotten deal.hope it doesn't hurt as much as it sounds it does. But not betting on it.
