Bridal Veil Falls

One of the stops we did while in Utah was to go to Bridal Veil Falls with my great friend Katherine Nelson.  Kat was the relief society president when we were in the student ward at BYU and really taught me about visiting teaching and being a good friend.  We were in the same ward when both of our first borns were born.  I love that we still keep in touch and try to get together if not every year than close to it.

Rachel was excited but Rachel clung to Kat for quite a while not so sure about this freezing cold water thing.  But as the other kids branched out and really got into it all she finally worked her way into the water more.
She was still just a stand and splash but she got to where she was enjoying it

Harrison and Rachel both climed the face of the falls over half way up.  Harrison is that tiny orange dot.  When you look at the full shot you can see how high he is where here it looks like he is still so far from the top.

That is to say, Ellie enjoyed it until she got all wet.  Harrison walked her back to us trying hard not to laugh at her absolute misery from having gotten wet.  How dare it happen that she gets wet at a waterfall!
Despite her wet misery we finished out our time with Kat with a rousing game of duck duck goose while those wet dried off.  It was so much fun and I am so glad that after all these years we can still get together and have it feel like we always lived close together.
