Build a Bear with Grandpa Onie

We took time while in Utah to spend a long lunch with Grandpa Onie at the Gateway mall.  We enjoyed lunch and great company.  My sister Sarah and her husband Jason joined us also.  The girls talked Grandpa into a trip to Build a bear.  They have never been before but seen all the commercials. 

Thanks Grandpa for being such a great sport and accessorizing the girls new animals.  Thanks also to Matthew for being a big enough kid that he was okay leaving it to the girls. 

Every went through all the steps of choosing names and other such details.  They now will always think of Grandpa when they play with their new animals.

Ellie has a lovely cinderella style bear with great high heeled shoes.  She loved it and has it still "live in it's box" so that it doesn't get dirty from her room.  She only get's pulled out to be played with. 

Rachel wanted to make sure hers was a boy.  I think it's so Ellie would be less likely to try to claim it or it's clothes.  But when I asked her she said he just looked like a boy not a girl.  And who is going to argue with a 10 year old diva?

Here is a picture we snapped with my sister and her husband.  Thanks guys for the great day.  We never have enough time to spend with everyone while there and one or two short visits with each sibling never seems like enough.  But I will treasure those little visits we get since we live so far away its all we get.
