All our kids take music from the same amazing music teacher. The older three take Piano from Miss Lisa, and Ellie takes a program called, "Let's pla music" from her.
All our kids came ready and prepared for a great recital night. I was super excited to hear them play their songs. They had worked so hard to get ready for this recital. They all did great! Rachel did a duet with Miss Lisa.
Both Harrison and Matthew played solos. They had worked hard to prepare and it showed in their recital pieces. Getting two teenage boys to practice the piano is not always the easiest thing. Lisa has gotten very creative in ways of getting them to practice, for example, she has done contests where they have won such things as movie tickets, dinner gift certificates and a chance to fly an airplane.
Yep she knows the way to a teenage boys heart, food, movies and airplanes. But it works and they practice so no one is complaining!
Ellie and her friend did a duet on their tone bells for the recital. They did great!
It was fun to see Ellie do all the songs up there with her class in front of everyone. She loves it there is no question about that!
Also, to note their cute little "dresses". They were given t-shirts to wear. But since the t-shirts were so big we had a ruffle sewn on the bottom and turned them into dresses. We even did little matching hairbows to match. That didn't work for poor Luke, but you will notice his nice belt to tie in with the girls.
I am looking foward to watching Ellie progress with Miss Lisa throught his program. It's been so fun to wach the way her mind now thinks musically. I love it!
