Matthew takes gunner walking..or does Gunner take Matthew?

Matthew is great about Taking gunner for a walk/run every afternoon.  He does enlist his brother's help.  I haven't been able to catch a picture of the whole event as they get bugged.  This is as close as I get and you can see from Matthew's face how bugged he is about the picture taking.
So every afternoon Matthew hops on his rip stick and Harrison on his bike.  Harrison takes off on his bike.  Gunner proceeds to pull Matthew trying to catch up with Harrison.  They can get two to three miles in every day in no time at all with Gunner doing all the work.
Gotta give them credit for for their brains.  Especially when they do things like the picture below where they love to try to spray the dog with water since he hates it.  Anything to pull him closer to the water and hose and then giggle like crazy when he is all wet.  They are boys that's for sure!
But the fact that Matthew loves to take him everywhere.  He has made it to the field to run and play during practice for Rachel and even went and watched one of Rachel's games.  I love my boys and they way they work with gunner.
But the way Gunner behaves which is quite well I attribute solely to John.  He has been amazing with him.  He takes time every day sometimes several times each day to stop and play and take care of him.  Just to love and be with him.  If the kids miss a day scooping poop he is out there doing it.  He was a nice clean yard for his dog.  Many hours have been spent adjusting the landscaping of our back yard so though it's small it can be more what gunner needs/wants.  Gotta love my boys!  Getting this dog was such a smart move for our family!!!

I think it's great seeing the way your family has adjusted to the newest member. And especially that the kids are doing such a good job taking care of the dog, it's so great for all of them. I hope Ellie is getting better with him as well.

so, looks like you are a dog family after all, even though you did a brave jog of fighting it. your boys look so happy, so worth it for you, i'm sure.
