So Matthew has never really played much in the way of basketball. Shooting hoops at the end of scouts pretty much is it. So when he tried out for the soccer team at the jr high and they didn't have enough players to even make a team he decided he might as well try out for basketball. Well, not only did he make a team, he made the 8th grade squad as a 7th grader. Pretty good.
Now, there are mixed feelings here and we are working to focus on the great players he is training with because unfortunately he doesn't see a lot of time on the court. Hopefully that will improve as he does. Either way, it was a great day when he came home and told us he knew he made the team without ever having really played before. Way to go Matthew we are so proud of you!

That is awesome, even if he doesn't get much court time, he will learn alot just being apart of the team and being able to practice with them.
