A little emergency was needed...

So my sweet Matthew loves sports and has going hard to put his all in it. It is a constant struggle to balance scouts, sports and school work, but we work on it. Well yesterday we got to add to the fun and the balance of it. Matthew collided with another player on the court. We got a call from the school, "you need to pick matthew up, some blood has been exchanged." So we zipped over to the school got him and went straight to the urgent care. The cut on the head was deep...you could see bone. Oh the joys. It took four stitches and an adjustment to his haircut to get him back together. The kid he collided with took Matthew's head in the eye and the cut near his eye has now made him have a black eye and couldn't even open it today to go with his three stitches so we are grateful for the hard head that our son has. So grateful for great insurance and great doctors who know what they are doing. Now to keep him from doing things he shouldn't do for the next 7-10 days.

OUCH! That looks painful. Never good to see bone, right?! Ok, and question for you on Elements. Is it worth it? I obviously am not a professional photographer, and never will be, but I want to be able to make collages for christmas cards, do higher-level editing and finishes, etc. Elements can do those, right?
