Our boy's a runner!

Is he not the cutest runner ever? So my great little man is not so little anymore. He is so much fun, yet he is getting so tall! He has taken up cross country and loves it. When they race it's against boys from his age and up two grades. From the district with all boys all ages (6th grade - 8th grade) he came in 17th place! So impressive if you ask me. He is always the first one in for all his runs. He runs every day after school for about an hour and 15 minutes or so. Many nights he then heads off to soccer practice trying to fit piano and homework and eating and all those other important things in life added to the mix. Crazy guy that's for sure! But he loves it and seems to actually be doing better in school now that he is busier. No time for the mind to wander so in school and at home with homework he is staying on task better. Who knew that keeping him busier would be the answer, but it is, so we'll keep it us as much as he enjoys it and we can handle it.
