Pumpkin carving fun...
So due to budget cuts at the Nevels house this year we did just one pumpkin. So since I had at least three kids who'd want to decide what the pumpkin looked like, we decided to draw names and pick from there. Harrison drew the eyes, Matthew the nose, and Rachel the mouth. Harrison really wanted the mouth though so Rachel agreed to trade. Nice kids huh? So each kid drew what they wanted their part of the face to look like without seeing everyone elses choices. It reminded me of those drawing games where you have three or four people draw a part of the body seeing only a tiny pair of lines going up or down of where the other part was to line it up. So this is what we ended up with.
A curly mustache, two types of teeth...he couldn't decide and eyelashes to make them girl eyes. Gotta love my fun kids. They were all good sports about it and were all happy with the finished result which made all of us happy! They all got involved in the gutting of the pumpkin. Ellie had the most fun with the guts....have I mentioned yet what a tomb boy she is? What a trooper!
