Our youngest soccer kicker

And not to be left out was Ellie.  This was her first season playing.  And it will stay for her first for a while to come.  She loved it....but she didn't get it that's for sure.
I loved watching her run....or should I say skip or prance as that is what she did most often around the field.  She never actually got close to the ball.  She would hover near the action but wasn't willing to get in there and kick it.
She wanted to be there and be a part of things....just not actually be a part of the action.
This picture shows where she was in relation the the ball and other players quite well.  Always on the outside.  But she ran her heart out and at kick offs even touched the ball at times.
And she couldn't be left out and had to have her tongue wagging in the air like all my kids do when they play soccer.  Funny trait they all do.
One little girl on another team we played had her mom yell at her to play when she was cart wheeling down the field and she turned back to her mom and said, but mom I'm better at cart wheels than soccer.  I think that attitude summed Ellie up quite well.  She was better at skipping and such than fighting for her chance at the ball.  Overall, we are just proud that she stuck it out week after week and still wanted to go and do it.  But we will all enjoy the break for a year or longer.  We all need that break!
