So Harrison and his group won the school competition narrowly in a tie breaker. Way to go kids! They then spent the next few days studying and cramming for the upcoming multi-district competition. This is how we found harrison when we got back from Matthew's art show. He spent days re-reading as many of the 12 books they would be quizzed on as possible.

The night of the battle, the kids were all set and ready to go...well as ready as they could be. It was so stressful as a parent to hear the questions and how incredibly difficult so many of them were. They did awesome. The did miss a couple questions. It was tough for Harrison to miss those questions. He said he knew every question except the couple that they missed.

But we were so proud of our kids, as was their teacher/coach. She was amazing to help and work with the kids to help prepare them for the competition. We then gave Harrison the same option to pick anywhere he wanted to go out to eat. He answered Panda Express. Due to the lateness of the hour we had to talk him into going somewhere a little nicer. He finally ended up deciding on Applebees. We had fun, enjoying the night just us and our super smart boy!

He is already chomping at the bit to get the list of 12 books for next year so he can start reading them over the summer to get ready for next year.
