But of everything John did in England, there is absolutely no question that the very best part of the trip for him was going to "the game". To say my family is a soccer family is an understatement to say the least. I grew up playing, then introduced the kids to it. Then some people from work introduced John to playing it and he was hooked. My boys watch it on TV, play it in video games, keep up on their teams, and play it live, and ref it. There is never enough soccer. Rachel has tried it and prefers other things (that really is okay with us) She enjoys dancing. But Ellie says when she grows up she is going to be a big boy so she can be a soccer kicker. Yep, it's a huge thing for our family.

So as soon as the dates were finalized on the trip the first thing that was done was to purchase a ticket to see his favorite team Arsenal play against his second favorite team. His team won! It was a home match. There is not much better in the world for a soccer lover like John!

I'm so grateful for all that he didn't have time to do, his first trip out of the country he was able to do something that he really enjoyed!
