A day at the zoo

Every year we have the opportunity due to a great lady in our ward to go to the zoo super cheap. This year we took our friend Jessica and her son Tucker with us. We walked about the zoo and saw all the fun animals.

Ellie's favorites hands down were the "little people" animals we found in one of the playgrounds. Glad I only spent 4.00 to get us in there. The weather was great, a light breeze, a slight drizzle, but overall comfortable, not too hot not too cold.


We spent a long time watching the tiger. Usually he is always sleeping on the hill just laying there not moving. Not that day. He was growling and roaring at all the people, he was pacing around, then he clawed at the tree before he jumped up into the tree. It was fun to watch, and a little scary if you ask me. I may know logically that he might not be able to get out but it sure seemed like it wouldn't take much of a leap from that tree to get out. Especially after watching him so gracefully jump up into the tree.

Then when we were looking at the zebra's it started to really rain. Nothing horrible and we brought umbrella's so we thought we'd finish up and head to the car. We are soo glad we called it quits with the zebra's because by the time we were loading the car it was pouring, I mean seriously dumping down on us. But wet and all it was still a great day!!!
