Watching the balls move around through this maze thing is one of the kids favorite things to start and end a D-backs game.
The kids were in this play area with a "coach/player" when it was time for the national anthem. I had to sneak this picture real quick cause it brought tears to my eyes seeing them like this.
They had fun being pitched to in this play area and running the bases. The player came over and worked with Harrison to try to help him hit.
Rachel on the other hand was a natural! She hit all but one ball!
Ellie was not so into sitting and watching the game too much. We went and played in the toddler area and I think she went down the slide at least 50 times in that one inning.
The kids had earned free tickets from the summer library reading program, and my brother and his family got some cheap tickets to go with us. My brother works there as ground crew so we arranged it to be a game he wasn't working so we could hang out with them. But it would have been cool to watch him raking the field!
We had a good time. It was a high scoring game, which we left after the 7th inning stretch.
Of all the pictures this is one of my favorites. My cute boy who is such a great brother/cousin and is so helpful as we made the long walk back to the cars. Thanks kids for all the reading you did to bring us such a fun night.
