First pool trip of the year...it's here already.

This is Ellie's newest talent. She can wink. Isn't it so cute!

So the time for the pool is here already. The pool is so much more work than just going to the park. It reminds me of what people who want to go play in the snow have to go through. We have to change clothing, get gear together, walk over, supervise things, refix hair and make up, just to do it again as soon as you can. It's a huge hassle. I dread this time of year. I put it off as long as possible, at least until school gets out. I hate doing all that in the few hours after school, but it has officially reached that point that is just WAY too hot to play at the park.

For us problem number two with pool days being here is that Ellie hates the water. She has always hated water. She hates bath's and has since she was first born. So what do you do with a girl like that when it comes to needing to spend hours at a pool. UGH!

We spent several hours on Saturday at the pool with John. It was much nicer having John to get in there and really play with the kids. I'm more of a pool supervisor vs a pool player like my husband. But we enjoyed the time and it only took an hour to get Ellie to get into the water up to her waist without completely freaking out. She really needs to figure this out or this is going to be the longest summer ever!!! It makes me wish we were going on vacation!
