At the Rindlesbach Farm

When we first got married John's family gave us a nice flannel quilt as a wedding present.  It's been many years since then and it has been literally falling apart.  Not just seam coming apart but material just falling apart.  So while in Utah Aunt Chris graciously helped us make a new one for John and I.  It's what we gave John for father's day.  I love it!
I love that all the kids worked on it some.  Some were happy to get pulled away by Uncle Ken to do more manly things, but he was a good sport and did a little while he was there.
Ellie kept calling it "needling"  She loved to needle like the big girls.
One of the huge highlights for Matthew was learning to drive.  Matthew spent most of his time driving this around the farm learning how to drive all by himself.  He even took the girls on a ride.
He still talks about getting to drive.  He said he was a bit "jerky" at first but by the time he took me for a drive he was pretty smooth.
The kids love that they have a super cute outhouse out on their propety.  A lot of fun was had making silly pictures with the clean smelling outhouse.
Both girls loved the horses and loved that they got to feed them.

They both enjoyed and were a bit nervous riding them.  It was cute to watch them be so unsure of whether or not the horse moving was such a good thing or not.
Matthew was a great sport and would take the girls out there to the horses multiple times so they could get their fill.
Ellie thought it was great that Aunt Chrys and Uncle Ken lived at Swan Lake.  How lucky are they?
The girls did plenty of playing and creating inside to add to all the outside fun.  They did a fashon show with the barbies.  Gotta love their run way.

At the end not just the barbies bowed but the girls did too.  So cute!  But maybe a bit too much project runway with my mom?
Overall, it was just a great few days hanging with great family that we love so much.  Thanks Uncle Ken and Aunt Chrys for being such amazing hosts and hostesses and letting us enjoy a few days away with you all.  We love you so much!
