Another Battle of the Books competition

Words can't describe how proud I am of Harrison and his team for the Battle of the books competition.  They won the school wide competition and only missed 3 questions total in the multi district competition.  This competition they were quizzed on all 12 books at once.  That is some pretty impressive retention they did!  To have made it on to the next level they couldn't have even missed one question, there was a 2 way tie for first and a three way tie for third.  The first two didn't miss a single question until the third question in the extra questions they asked just to get it down to a first and second.  The third place teams had only missed one partial question.  These kids amaze me! 

Also, I want to note our teams impressive shirts with their coach Mrs Biggs.  Harrison told me that if his team won he wanted matching shirts like the other kids had last year.  So when they won he designed these shirts.  We made them at home.  Super proud of myself.  He loved them!  They say Battle of the Books, Battle to the last page with a mean cardinal since the cardinal is their mascot.

Again way to go Harrison!  That was a fun couple years!  Now to enjoy the next year of reading anything you want and only needing to read a book once instead of 3-5 times each.
