Phill Butler came to our ward Halloween party

Our kids were introduced to this friend of a friend Phill Butler. He hung around the party and talked to lots of people. He was pretty social of a guy even though he kind of scared a few people. One friend said that she paid attention what candy he put in her kids bags and pulled it back out and threw it away as soon as they were past his car. He was kind of creepy was what most said. He had his own car. No one saw him with any kids. Though he was introduced to many and several talked to him. Most expressed a desire to be happy to get away from him. My kids each met him a couple of times, but didn't have much to say, except from ellie who said, "he sure colored on himself a lot" He was covered in tatoos which is not something you see very often.
It wasn't until the night was over that he started to speak to people and they realized it was John. He spent the entire 2 1/2 hours tricking everyone. It was so funny to watch the peoples reactions to see it was him. Even our kids each got to find out it was him at the end of the night and were shocked. Several people thought it was him at first but when they talked to him or saw the car he was at they knew it wasn't him.
See John decided to go all out and try to "hide in plain site" for the night. It took trips to a "real costume shop" to get a real hair beard and mustache. The wig is a womans wig. We had to find real looking tattoos and then everything needed fine tuning with cornstarch and eyeliner pencils to blend it all in so it all looked real not fake. We spend hours putting him together. We had to buy all new clothes including new shoes so he didn't give himself away. You can't see it in the picture but he's got bling on his butt! I loved it! He worked really hard to not recognize or know anything about anyone as they talked to him. We also drove out to our friends house in chandler to borrow their car so that wouldn't give him away. He had to hide at another friends house until the time of the party. That was the only person who knew who John was. He really sold it. It was a huge success! I'm proud of my non halloween guy for pulling it off!
