Ellie's well visit to the dr today

So I laughed so hard today. I took Ellie in for her well check with the dr. She hates going there and it's major drama and freaking out about having such torturous things done to you like weighing you, (Don't get me wrong I could love to freak out about that too), or taking your temp in your ear, or measuring your height. Seriously she freaks out completely. We found out she is in the 10% of her weight and 28% of her height. Both of those are up from last time so we are happy with our tiny runt. Then when we get through all that with the nurse and the Dr. comes in she chills out and talks and shows off for him. He had a book with shapes and was asking her shapes. She got them all. Sitting off to the side was another book that he was going to ask her some other questions about and she saw more shapes on antother page of that book and proceeded to tell him all those shapes like a "ocagon" and "penagon". He was suitably impressed. He then started to talk to her about Halloween and her birthday and they got talking about Dora and such. How can she not love him when he'll sit and talk about Dora with her. Then the dreaded question came, "What's your favorite candy Ellie?" Her answer, "Poo candy". Yep that is what she said. He looked at me with a shocked look and tried to make sense of what she was saying. He asked, "Tootsie rolls?" "NO! Poo candy". "Winnie the pooh candy?" "NO, Poo candy" He was at a loss. "Does it look like poo?" NO! It's my poo candy it tastes the best!" He asks that as parents we not jump in and let him talk to the kids, so I let it continue but finally gave in and interjected the needed info. "They are smarties, she gets them when she goes poo." He was much relieved and we both laughed. Ellie did not see what was so funny about her favorite candy.
