So it was a short/intense season for Jr. High basketball. He would either get to school at 7am to practice, he would have practice after school on non early days that went to 5:30 or 6, and a couple days a week he'd have games going until close to 6:30 at night.
What a crazy time, causing more late night hours than is incredibly reasonable. Hopefully the end of the season will also bring about the end of midnight homework for our family.
But there is no question Matthew loved it. He enjoyed the practices, he enjoyed learning to play a sport he hasn't played before, and is now asking for us to find a rec league for him to play on for the rest of the year so he can be a starter next year.
He loves the sport, but on the 8th grade team he got to sit on the bench a lot, and has no intention of repeating that when he is actually an 8th grader on the 8th grade team.
